Welcome to Tana and Varanger Museumssiida!
Deanu ja Várjjat Museasiida/Tana and Varanger Museum Siida/Teän da Va’rjjel Mu’zeisiida (DVM/TVM) aims to contribute to the visibility, development and documentation of Sami identity, language and cultural traditions. This is done by:
- Working on documentation, preservation, collection, dissemination, and research based in Sámi culture and history.
- Working on making the collections more accessible to a wide audience.
- Providing assistance to other museums and relevant institutions.
DVM/TVM shall emphasize local and regional history and strengthen and further develop each individual museum.
